Welcome to the online conference series. Every few months an online synchronous web conference will be scheduled around topics of interest to the community. Sessions will make use of a variety of synchronous tools (Adobe Connect, Elluminate, Skype, etc) and will usually be archived here for access after the live sessions have ended.

Special guests George Siemens, Associate Director with the Learning Technologies Centre at University of Manitoba and Christopher D. Sessums, Director of Distance Learning at the University of Florida will be with us for a 1 hour web conference discussing the impact and opportunities that social networks and "connectivism" provide for teacher development and professional learning communities.
Commun-IT members will be able to participate live in the event and interact via Adobe Connect. Login information will be posted here no later than May 1. If you have ideas or questions you would like to have made part of the focus, please visit the Web Conference Series Planning page and post your thoughts. All are welcome to participate.
