Tim Pugh

Hi. My name is Tim Pugh. I am currently one of two Coordinating Teachers of the Virtual GrandE (VGe) Literacy Project, based out of Grand Erie D.S.B. In its second year, VGe has impacted well over 200 of our board's elementary-aged students (low-academic, mainstream, and gifted/enrichment) through the use of video conferencing technology, SmartBoards, laptops, and webcams for specifically-targetted learning events. We have been pleased to see students and teachers create authentic forums for the exchange of ideas, the exploration of perceptions, and the creation of novel learning options while working together within the real-time media environment afforded by VGe. I am looking forward to some great interaction through this one-day networking opportunity.
