Highlighting your content from other services (and importing from other blogging tools)
If your external subscriptions are your own content, you can ask Commun-IT to post any new items from your feeds to your main blog. When the RSS feed is brought into Commun-IT and published to your blog, content will appear the next time you update the source.
For example, this functionality allows you to maintain your blog on Wordpress and have the content post within Commun-IT.
To do this:
- Go to the "Your Resources" tab and subscribe to your blog feed
- Select the submenu option 'publish to blog'
- Check the feed you wish to import into your Commun-IT blog
- Click update

Hi Tim,
As you know, I do this. The advantage is that the posts are more visible to the folks in the commun-it community. The disadvantage is that it makes it harder to measure the traffic to the main blog. Google searches sometimes gives the commun-it version of the post as the first result before my main site. I haven't found a way to have Google Analytics or Feedjit report the traffic to the commun-it site either.
If tracking is important to folks, then they may not want to do this.
