February 21, 2007

This morning Shawn and I had a good conference call and Breeze session with folks from eLearning Ontario and the Strategic Alliance about commun-IT and where is is headed. I've posted a powerpoint file that we used to the files area of the commun-IT Steering Group.

You can download it below as well...

  1. Hi Tim,

Great to hear that your are advocating for this community. I really hope that eLO takes a hard look at the possibilities. It could mean alot for sustainability of the project over the long term.  It might also be intersting to visit similar endeavours around the worls as points of comparison.

On another note -Can I make another suggestion for you to take a look at - what about the integration of Scuttle as a social bookmarking tool, rather than PR links.

  2. Scuttle looks really good. I love that it supports the delicious APIs as that opens up some neat possibilities. Are you aware of any decent sizes sites running it? On first look I don't see any way to setup a structured element to it (e.g like we have in Resources now).

  3. Hi Tim,

Yes - http://blogs.zanestate.edu/mybookmarks/ is a K12 Social bookmarking site with the customizations that you are looking for with regards to organization.  I believe that Todd Slater is heading up that project and may be willing to share the code.  I will email you his contact information.

  4. If you select "Browse"- http://blogs.zanestate.edu/mybookmarks/browse.php gives you the structured element.
