After watching the videos and seeing it in action, I finally tried building my own Wii interactive white board. With a Wii remote and
Johnny Chung Lee's programming I was able to put it all together. It really is that simple. Using the
Blue Soleil BlueTooth software it took no time to get my computer to detect the Wii remote. The only difficulty I had was the infrared pen. Once I solved that problem, using some
YouTube videos, I was up and running.
My first test was on the screen of my computer itself. The first tries seemed to have sensitivity problems. The pen did not seem to be precise enough. Those worries were put to rest with testing the Wii on a larger scale. What seemed to be an issue with the smaller screen was no problem at a larger level, were precision does not seem to be a problem.
I do however have to improve on the pen for regular use. With a solid pen that is easy to use this can become a good alternative to the expensive Interactive white boards on the market today.
