Wireless Internet for High School

I am starting this community to get some discussion going around the student use of Wireless Internet in High Schools.

In recent months myself and a small group from my school are trying to get the school to go wireless. This would allow students to their own laptops. This would allow teachers to use their own laptops.

Daily, we are faced with the problem of not having enough computers in the school.

I am told that this is a security issue.

I am wondering your thoughts, comments or concerns - if other have faced this problem or if others have Wireless in their schools.
